Meet the winner of the Positive Icons Movement

HOORAY! We are excited to share the following news with you. The winner of the Positive Icons movement is Ingeborg Ekkelenkamp. Together with her boyfriend Hilbert de Gier, she is going to meet the maker of her bag in India.

MYOMY started the Positive Icons movement last year. We inspire people to be the best version of themselves. Everyone is doing ‘good’ in his or her own way. MYOMY encourages this by asking people to submit their own photo with a description why they ‘do good’. This resulted in the “I AM … AND I DO GOOD” photo series. Once a month, we published the Positive Icon of the month; being nominated to win the desired trip to India!

All nominees were invited at our company; read more about this meeting in this blog. Afterwards they went home with a challenge: make a video in which you tell the jury why you should be the person to go to India and what your Positive Icons story is. The winning video should share MYOMY’s values; it had to inspire others and the story had to appeal to the jury.

We love to share the beautiful work of the nominees with you. You can watch all the videos below.

Ingeborg Ekkelenkamp

Ingeborg won the Positive Icons movement! She translated the values of MYOMY perfectly in her everyday life. Being a true Positive Icon by challenging herself, losing 40 kg! But also integrating small things in her everyday life like re-using her used coffee in the garden. She explains so well how small steps; if done by everyone, can make a big difference. She translates MYOMY’s story perfectly and is able to inspire others to join the ‘do good’ movement, in person, and by sharing her story on multiple social media channels. We are looking forward to our trip together with Ingeborg and her boyfriend!

Not only the winner gets rewarded, we also love to give the other participants something in return for their beautiful work. The final contestants all receive a MY INSIDEOUT BAG, which is specially designed for the Fashion Revolution. The special ‘Made by’ label represents the creators in Bangladesh who made this bag with love and pride.
